Exciting wildlife update from Tyler Arboretum! We've got not just one, but two incredible nesting stories to share with you. Yesterday, we discovered a remarkable sight—a red-eared slider turtle laying her eggs under a cozy hammock. Members of The Children's Burrow @childrensburrow also pointed out that the newly installed nesting tube at the pond has a mallard hen diligently incubating her eggs!

We've cordoned off the turtle nesting area with bright orange cones to ensure the safety of both the turtle and her future hatchlings. Please remember to give them their space and refrain from disturbing the nest! At the pond, we kindly ask our visitors to observe from a distance to give her the tranquility she needs. We can't wait to witness the arrival of these future hatchlings.

Sending a big 'Thank You' to the amazing students

Sending a big 'Thank You' to the amazing students from Williamson College of the Trades @williamsontrade who generously volunteered their time at Tyler Arboretum last week! Their hard work and dedication made a huge impact on our grounds.

From replacing culverts to removing invasive species, repairing the Imagination Station treehouse, planting at the pond, installing a boardwalk on the White trail, and mulching at the Edible Garden, they tackled it all! 🛠️🌿

We're incredibly grateful for their contribution in making Tyler Arboretum an even more beautiful place.
