SUITABLE FOR CHILDREN AGES 3-6

Are you looking for ways to increase your child’s awareness of the natural world? Then join us for A Chest Full of Stories with Miss Karen, held monthly at Tyler! Exposing children to the wonders of nature has been shown to spark creativity and imagination, so we’d love to help families encourage a lifetime of learning about the world in which we live.

Join us for a walk to the Garden Schoolhouse as we look at the trees for signs of spring. We will be reading The Hike by Alison Farrell. Three friends go on an adventure through the woods. Find out how their adventure goes. After the story, we will go on our own hike through Tyler and see what we find along the way!

This program is for children ages 3-6 with one supervising adult. Check in at the Visitor Center first, and then we will enjoy a short walk to the Garden Schoolhouse. This program will be held indoors from November through April 12th.  However, we may be outside for part of the program on mild winter days, so please dress accordingly.

MEMBERS: $5 per child with one free supervising adult (sign in first for your member discount!)

NON-MEMBERS: $13 per child, with one free supervising adult (fee includes admission for the day, so feel free to stay as long as you’d like!) Additional accompanying non-member adults and non-participating children must pay admission.

GUEST PASS HOLDERS: $5 per child with one free supervising adult. (For non-member use only.) Please give your guest pass to the Visitor Center Associate when checking in for this program. The guest pass covers admission only; there is still an additional fee of $5 per child for this program). Additional accompanying non-member adults and non-participating children must pay admission.
