SUITABLE FOR CHILDREN AGES 3-6
Are you looking for ways to increase your child’s awareness of the natural world? Join us as we begin a new storytime called A Chest Full of Stories with Miss Karen at Tyler! Exposing children to the wonders of nature has been shown to spark creativity and imagination, so we’d love to help families encourage a lifetime of learning about the world in which we live.
We will walk to Imagination Station and look for pumpkins hidden along the way. How many can we find? Next, Miss Karen will read How to Help a Pumpkin Grow by Ashley Wolff. We will learn what it takes to grow a pumpkin and find out who can help a dog grow pumpkins. Finally, the children will decorate a mini pumpkin of their own to take home.
This program is for children ages 3-6 with one supervising adult. Check-in at the Visitor Center first, and then we will enjoy a short walk to an area that sparks our imaginations. This is an outdoor activity, so please dress accordingly. In case of rain, the group will meet in a protected area.
MEMBERS: $5 per child with one free supervising adult (sign in first for your member discount!)
NON-MEMBERS: $12 per child with one free supervising adult (fee includes admission for the day, so feel free to stay as long as you’d like!) Additional accompanying non-member adults and non-participating children must pay admission.
