SUITABLE FOR CHILDREN AGES 3-6
Are you looking for ways to increase your child’s awareness of the natural world? Join us as we begin a new storytime called A Chest Full of Stories with Miss Karen at Tyler! Exposing children to the wonders of nature has been shown to spark creativity and imagination, so we’d love to help families encourage a lifetime of learning about the world in which we live.
Come take a walk to the Imagination Station to hear Amelia Bedelia’s First Apple Pie by Herman Parish and Lynne Avril. We will hear about how Amelia Bedelia goes to the farmstand with her grandfather to get apples for her grandmother to make a pie. She will learn about the different types of apples. Then, we will have our very own apple tasting, and the children will craft an apple pie to take home.
This program is for children ages 3-6 with one supervising adult. Check in at the Visitor Center first, and then we will enjoy a short walk to an area that sparks our imaginations. This is an outdoor activity, so please dress accordingly. In case of rain, the group will meet in a protected area.
MEMBERS: $5 per child with one free supervising adult (sign in first for your member discount!)
NON-MEMBERS: $12 per child with one free supervising adult (fee includes admission for the day, so feel free to stay as long as you’d like!) Additional accompanying non-member adults and non-participating children must pay admission.
