For Adults 18+ and Youth ages 15-17
We will be hiking out with our guide to see owls in the Pinetum and some areas outside the deer exclusion fence. We’ll be on the lookout for Great Horned, Screech, and Barred Owls. Less likely but always possible are Saw-whet and Long-eared owls. If the sky cooperates, we will be treated to a nearly full moon. Listening to owls calling under the light of the moon is an experience not to be missed!
PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED. Registration closes by 8 am the day of the event, so be sure to register on time.
Gates will open at 5:45 pm and close promptly at 6:15 pm, so please be on time. The group will meet in the Tyler parking lot and return to the parking lot by 8 pm. Intended for all-level birders. Rain or shine. Please wear layers and have appropriate hiking shoes or boots for wet conditions. Bring hiking sticks to assist in challenging terrain and binoculars. Pack water and food.
