Physostegia virginiana ‘Vivid’

Description

Spikes of orchid pink tubular flowers open in sequence from top to bottom on this mid summer bloomer, attracting butterflies and hummingbirds to their sweet nectar.

Wonderful for cut flowers, the comon name “obedient plant” refers to the ability of this plant to hold its place when pushed into position. Deadheading spent flowers will produce new lateral growth for a longer bloom period.
