FOR ADULTS AND YOUTH AGES 12-17

A leisurely-paced tour with collection highlights, gardens, and a bit of Tyler history.

Join Tyler docent Woody Kotch on this tour through Tyler’s magnolia, lilac, and crabapple collections. Then, stroll through the Native Woodland Walk as we discuss the local ecology and how climate change may affect this environment. We’ll stop at Lucille’s Garden to see what’s being planted this season and chat about water management at Tyler. The tour will conclude at the Pollinator Preserve. Here, we will share knowledge of pollinators, pollinator life cycles, and the pollinator/host plant connection. You can pick up some tips on starting or adding to your pollinator garden at home and learn why pollinators are so vital to our food chain and the Earth’s future well-being.
