Description
A more compact form selected for its dark green foliage, late blooming period and clouds of airy golden seed heads. An eye-catching ornamental grass suited for part sun to shade. The bronze seed heads persist into winter and are enjoyed by songbirds.
‘Goldtau’ is easily grown in average, medium moisture, well-drained soils. Shear old foliage before new shoots emerge in spring.
Excellent massed in woodland gardens or naturalized areas. Also effective as a specimen or in groups in shaded areas of borders, rock gardens or moist areas along ponds or streams. Mixes well with shade loving perennials such as ferns and hostas.
