Eurybia (Aster) divaricata

Description

The white wood aster is a distinctive woodland plant, native from Maine to Georgia. Slender mahogany stems twist and form loose clumps. Small white flowers, borne in fall, are so numerous that they cover the entire plant.

Try it at the front of the border among plants with bold foliage. Prefers a moist, well-drained soil rich in organic matter.
