Geranium macrorrhizum ‘Ingwersen’s Variety’

Description

The best Geranium for groundcover use. ‘Ingwersen’s Variety’ spreads quickly but not aggressively to form a dense mat of bright green leaves. Profuse soft pink flowers appear in late spring to early summer. The foliage is fragrant and in fall turns shades of red and orange.

Grow in average, dry to medium moisture, well-drained soil. Tolerates drought due to its thick rhizomes. Some protection from hot afternoon sun is appreciated

Makes an attractive groundcover and is also useful in the front of borders, cottage gardens, and wild gardens.
