Hamamelis mollis ‘February Gold’

Description

‘February Gold’ Chinese witchhazel is characterized by exceptionally large and abundant flowers with a rich fruity fragrance. These bright yellow blooms are set off by red calyces. ‘February Gold’ is also unique in that the leaves promptly drop in the fall, not persisting in an unsightly condition throughout the winter as with ordinary Hamamelis mollis plants.

This witchhazel is not picky about soil type but does best in moist soil.

Because this is a wonderfully fragrant bloomer it deserves a place where you will pass by frequently in winter in order for you to fully enjoy it.
