This Blue-eyed Grass is a great native groundcover that is short, upright, and very floriferous. It forms nice upright clumps to 8 inches and has bright sky blue flowers in late spring and early summer.
It likes sun or shade, and average soil that is a bit on the alkaline side. Clumps can eventually spread to a foot or so in diameter. It was founded by plantsman Charles Webb on the limestone banks of the Suwannee River in Florida.
This versatile plant would look great with any of the Wild Indigos, Stokesia, Sundrops, or ‘Morris Berd’ Phlox.
