Press Release

Dear Tyler Supporter,

I hope that you and your loved ones continue to remain safe and in good health.  I am continuing to monitor the guidance received by the CDC, the PA Department of Health, and the Governor’s office, and it is my understanding that the shutdown/travel ban will remain in effect at least through May.  As the mitigation efforts for COVID-19 continue to evolve, I anticipate that a decision regarding our summer camp program will be made in early June. Please continue to check our website frequently for updates.

On a much lighter note, Tyler has planned a virtual celebration in honor of Earth Day’s 50th anniversary and we invite you to participate!  Please check your inbox and our website for the event schedule, which will include a series of videos, blogs, and podcasts to help you stay connected – whether you are a Citizen Scientist, home gardener or avid nature fan.  If you have not done so already, we encourage you to join us on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube to access your favorite resources and videos year-round.

I also want to extend my sincerest thanks and appreciation for the outpouring of love and support Tyler has received over the past few weeks.  Your phone calls, emails, letters, Zoom waves, and willingness to make a donation or renew your memberships have certainly lifted our team’s spirits and we are sending virtual hugs your way!  In the meantime, please rest assured that Tyler is doing its absolute best to care for and maintain our trails and collections during our temporary closure.  I look forward to seeing you – soon!

Sincerely,

Mandy Santiago
Executive Director
