FOR ADULTS AND TEENS AGES 12-17
A leisurely-paced tour with collection highlights, gardens, and a bit of Tyler history.Â
Join Tyler docent Woody Kotch on this tour through Tyler’s magnolia, lilac, and crabapple collections. Then, stroll through the Native Woodland Walk as we discuss the local ecology and how climate change may affect this environment. Continue with a stop at Lucille’s Garden to see what edibles are looking good this year and chat about water management at Tyler. Conclude at Woody’s favorite spot at Tyler, the Pollinator Preserve. Here, you’ll learn about pollinators, pollinator life cycles, and the pollinator/host plant connection. Pick up some tips on starting or adding to your pollinator garden at home and learn why pollinators are so vital to our food chain and the Earth’s future well-being.
