FOR ADULTS (18+) AND TEENS AGES 15-17
As summer fades, Tyler’s meadows burst into life! A beautiful array of native flowers and insects thrives together, creating a vibrant ecosystem. Overhead, birds and dragonflies dart through the air. We’ll look for several species of native goldenrods and discuss the critical role these keystone plants play in our ecosystem. If time permits, we may venture beyond the fence for a short hike on Tyler’s trail system.
There’s more to discover in Tyler’s 650 acres. Join Dr. Richard Brenner for a walk through the various eco-communities at Tyler. From seasonal wonders, living fossils, meadows, watery locations, geological treasures, conservation areas, and unexpected wildlife, Richard will expertly guide you to prime areas for an experience you will remember. Expertise from others will often be on hand for a more in-depth exploration. These rambles are for those who have a love for nature, exploring, and learning. While a description of each ramble is posted in advance, we reserve the right to make last-minute changes, including adjustments for weather and trail conditions. Bring your reusable water bottle and dress for the weather, including sturdy shoes.
Upon arrival, please check in first at the Visitor Center, where you’ll then meet your guide.
