Pennsylvania Educational Improvement
Tax Credit (EITC) Program
Connecting youth to the natural world is at the heart of everything we do at Tyler.
If your business is looking to make a significant impact while enjoying a State tax credit, we invite you to support school field trips to Tyler by enrolling in the EITC program.
Pennsylvania offers state tax credits to eligible businesses that contribute to Scholarship Organizations, Educational Improvement Organizations, and Pre-Kindergarten Scholarship Organizations. As an approved Educational Improvement Organization, Tyler Arboretum utilizes EITC funds to enrich our School Field Trip program.
Key Points:
- Application Period: The application cycle for new business applicants opens on July 1 each year.
- Educational Impact: Our Guided Field Trips offer students more than just a day outside the classroom. We provide inclusive, experiential learning opportunities that foster meaningful connections with the natural world.
- Expert Guidance: Our seasoned naturalist guides tailor engaging, age-appropriate curricula to the interests and questions of each group. Through hands-on activities and take-home projects, students gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of nature.
Tyler’s School Field Trip program covers admission fees, transportation, and the operational costs of our educational curriculum, ensuring that students from schools of all income and resource levels can benefit from nature-based learning experiences at Tyler.
